Care & Treatment GOAL: People with disabilities have the right to receive care and treatment that is: Free from abuse and neglect; provided In the most integrated setting appropriate; and which includes provisions for due process, informed consent, confidentiality and privacy. * Current priorities are highlighted. Outcome A. Freedom from Abuse and Neglect: People with disabilities who live in 24-hours care and treatment facilities will be free from abuse and neglect. Rights Violations Addressed: Allegations, observations and reports of: Neglect Abuse Death Outcome B. Accessible Communities Care and treatment facilities are accessible to people with disabilities. Rights Violations Addressed: Inaccessible facilities Outcome C. Independence, Productivity, Integration and Inclusion People with disabilities will receive care and treatment that is appropriate and provided in the least restrictive environment. Rights Violations Addressed: Care is not provided in the most integrated setting (Olmstead issues) Outcome D.
